Knight Rides Transportation Coordinator Department:

Pre-ETS/READY Programs Salary Range:

$26,000/ year with $18/hourly for on call

Hours Per Week:

25 hours + On Call Position in organization: Reports to Pre-ETS/READY Program Director Supervises-Knight Rides Drivers (volunteer and employee)

Summary of Role:

The Transportation Coordinator oversees and coordinates our Knight Rides program which provides transportation to our pre-ETS program participants. As a member of the READY program team, this Coordinator collaborates team members to ensure the smooth operation of our pre-ETS programs in support of our mission. Core Responsibilities Route and schedule transportation based on participant schedules and transportation needs, costs, and driver availability. Serve as primary contact and supervisor for drivers and facilitate communication between drivers and the READY and COACH program teams. Serve as Knight Rides driver as necessary. Maintain current and accurate schedule of availability and contact information for all Knight Rides drivers. Collaborate with READY program team members to develop, schedule, and facilitate training of drivers. Collaborate with READY program team members to address any necessary schedule changes. Conduct periodic inspections of driver vehicles. Maintain maintenance of CK vehicles. Maintain records of driver attendance, on-time performance rates. Collect data regarding driver performance and evaluate employee drivers. Report and submit updated information related to transportation, program attendance, and other matters as directed using available technology. Input each student's attendance and transportation in Bloomerang. Additional Responsibilities and Expectations Collaborate and engage with other READY program team members (via GoogleChat, Email, phone, and or text as necessary). Assume on call hours with hourly pay to handle driver phone calls Participate in staff meetings as required. Report updated information as necessary for tracking volunteer recruitment and engagement. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have training, knowledge, and experience supporting individuals with disabilities through appropriate use of accommodations. Must be 21 years old. Valid driver's license with excellent driving record required. Must have current driver liability insurance. Must have reliable transportation. High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred Knowledge of local geography, roadways, and traffic patterns preferred. Experience in transportation or logistics is helpful. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills required. Ability to use mapping applications. Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed. Must model professionalism and embody the mission of Community Knights in interactions with others. Growth mindset, empathy, and emotional intelligence desired. Time management, organization, and attention to detail are a plus. Reliable transportation required. Proficiency with using technology for communication, documentation, and file sharing essential. The ability to learn new applications as necessary is key. Experience with Google Suite of applications is a plus.
