Job Description
Job Summary G & S Logistics, Inc is an independent service provider for Fed Ex Corporation looking for dedicated employees to join our team as a route driver. G & S Logistics, Inc operates out of the Clarksburg, WV Terminal and ensures timely, safe, and efficient deliveries and pickups across your designated route. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help us maintain high standards of customer satisfaction while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks to deliver and pickup packages along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, document deliveries, and communicate with managers as needed. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during delivery and addressing any questions or concerns. Follow safe lifting practices when handling packages of varying weights, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are used at all times. Maintain accurate delivery logs and route documentation to ensure operational transparency and compliance. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on customer service and safe driving practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is highly desirable. Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting and moving packages Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling in the workplace to ensure safety at all times. Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes during routes. Strong physical stamina for load & unload tasks involving heavy or bulky packages; capable of adhering to safe lifting practices. All applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and a background check Including a safety threat analysis.
