Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Crew Leader in Lawn Care, where you will lead and inspire a dedicated crew to deliver exceptional outdoor maintenance and landscaping services. Your role is vital in ensuring high-quality grounds management, landscape enhancement, and customer satisfaction. As a key team leader, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate projects, and maintain safety standards across various outdoor environments. Your expertise in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and team management will drive successful project execution and foster a positive work environment. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the lawn care crew, ensuring efficient completion of all landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks Lead outdoor work projects including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation installation and repair, hardscape installation, and tree care Manage equipment operation such as grounds maintenance tools, landscaping machinery, and company vehicles in compliance with safety protocols Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper horticultural practices are followed and assist with plant health assessments Oversee irrigation system management, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal landscape watering efficiency Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee work meets company standards and client expectations Support crew training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and landscaping techniques to promote skill development and safety awareness Skills Extensive knowledge of lawn care techniques, landscape maintenance practices, and horticulture principles Proven supervising experience with strong team management skills to motivate and lead outdoor crews effectively Skilled in plant identification, grounds maintenance equipment operation, and irrigation system management Experience working on construction projects involving hardscape features such as patios or walkways Ability to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all transportation regulations Strong outdoor work experience with an emphasis on gardening, tree care, grounds upkeep, and landscape enhancement Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks clearly and foster teamwork in diverse environments
