Job Description

Shared Living Contractor County locations-
Coffey, Osage, Franklin, Sedgwick, Douglas, Jefferson, Miami, Anderson, Linn, Woodson, Allen, Bourbon, Neosho, Morris, Wabaunsee, Lyon, & Chase Overview:
Our Shared Living program in Kansas offers a nationally recognized model of habilitation and residential services for program participants with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/D). In our program, one to two participants share a home with a family or an individual adult's family, referred to as the contractor. The Contractor lives with the participant, providing personalized support following the participant's person-centered support plan.
Compensation & Benefits:
$17,500 to $63,000 annually tax free, based on the level of care. This is an Independent Contractor opportunity. The Internal Revenue Service defines an independent Contractor as: The general rule is that an individual is an independent contractor if the person for whom the services are performed has the right to control or direct only the result of the work and not what will be done and how it will be done. If you are an independent contractor, then you are self-employed. The earnings of a person who is working as an independent contractor are subject to self-employment tax.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience in caregiving, direct support, or a related field preferred. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to person-centered care. Ability to pass background checks and meet licensing or contractual requirements. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must reside in a home that meets state and agency safety requirements.
