About the Role K2 Irrigation Services is looking for an experienced Irrigation Install Crew Leader to run field installation projects and lead a crew of 2-3 team members. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has mastered irrigation installation from the ground up and is ready to take ownership of job sites, quality, and crew performance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead an installation crew of 1-4 crew members on a daily basis Read and interpret irrigation plans and install systems according to design specifications Install, troubleshoot, and repair two-wire irrigation systems Ensure all work meets K2 quality/production standards and NC Minimum Standards Train and mentor crew members in basic irrigation installation techniques Operate and safely tow K2 vehicles and equipment, including F-350 class trucks and 16' trailers, between job sites Maintain a working knowledge of plants and horticultural best practices as they relate to irrigation design and installation Ensure crew vehicles and equipment are clean, organized, and properly stocked Required Skills & Experience Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency at each preceding level of our crew progression: Valves, controllers & components: Install valves, yard hydrants, controllers, rain sensors, and backflow assemblies

Repairs:

PVC pipe repairs, head replacement, drip repair, and proper sprinkler adjustment Installation fundamentals: PVC connections on lateral/mainline pipe, sprinkler/nozzle installation, drip irrigation Fieldwork basics: Efficient trenching, backfilling, and compaction; correct drip irrigation installation Preferred Background Prior experience in construction, utility, or landscaping work is highly desirable — candidates coming from these fields often bring valuable skills in reading site plans, operating equipment, and working efficiently outdoors Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus , though not required Driving & Vehicle Requirements Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving history free of major infractions , to meet company insurance requirements Comfortable and competent operating full-size trucks (F-350 class) and towing a 16' trailer Safe driving record will be verified as part of the hiring process (MVR check) Work Style Strong team leadership — able to direct and motivate a crew of 2-3 people to hit daily production goals Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual Professional appearance; wears K2 uniform on the job Clear communicator, able to train less experienced crew members Physical Requirements Able to perform physical labor including digging, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be able to lift 30 lbs repetitively and 50 lbs occassionally

Pay:

From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
