Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Crew Leader to assist in managing day-to-day project operations. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain a productive pace, and support the Foreman and crew in delivering high-quality results. This position is hands-on, and leadership will be demonstrated through craftsmanship and work ethic rather than through formal management authority.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Foreman in executing daily project goals on interior renovation, remodeling, and new construction projects
Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and Foreman instructions to carry out assigned tasks
Perform hands-on construction work and lead by example in quality and productivity
Help train and guide crew members under the direction of the Foreman
Maintain accurate time clock entries and use field communication apps on a smartphone
Communicate professionally with teammates, clients, and management
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site
Start and end the day at various job sites across the service area (within 1 hour of Butler city)
Requirements:
Proficiency in at least one construction trade (such as carpentry, drywall, painting, or similar)
Ability and willingness to learn additional trades through on-the-job training
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying productive
Tech-capable:
Able to use basic smartphone apps for time tracking and communication
Reliable personal vehicle to get to and from job sites
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional appearance
Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and work orders (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications:
Multi-trade construction experience
Experience leading small crews or acting as a team lead (informally or formally) Additional Details
