Job Summary Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Crew Leader and Crew Member, where you'll play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant, beautiful environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate with a dedicated crew on diverse landscape projects, including lawn care, planting, hardscape installation, irrigation management, and grounds maintenance. Your leadership will ensure high-quality work while fostering a positive team atmosphere. Whether managing daily operations or executing hands-on landscaping tasks, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional results that exceed client expectations. Duties Lead and supervise landscape crews on construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Perform and oversee lawn care, planting, pruning, hardscape installation, and irrigation system setup and maintenance. Identify various plants, trees, and horticultural elements to ensure proper care and placement within landscape designs. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools safely and effectively. Manage crew schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to maintain productivity and morale. Operate company vehicles for project transportation while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct site inspections to ensure landscape health, safety compliance, and project specifications are fulfilled. Assist with troubleshooting irrigation issues and perform irrigation management to optimize water efficiency. Support the team in outdoor work activities including gardening, tree care, hardscape installation, and general grounds upkeep. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and project progress for accountability and reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles. Supervising or crew management experience in outdoor or construction settings preferred. Knowledge of landscape construction projects including hardscape features such as patios or walkways. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable. Hands-on experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment safely. Strong plant identification skills coupled with gardening expertise to support healthy landscapes. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team management and motivating others toward shared goals. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is essential for success in this role.
