The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse management experience, and proficiency with logistics systems. This role is vital in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing workflow, and ensuring safety compliance within a fast-paced distribution environment. The Warehouse Team Leader will play a key role in process improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of warehouse management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise warehouse team members to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met. Oversee inventory management, control, and reconciliation using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners. Coordinate warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment. Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Manage logistics operations related to e-commerce orders, 3PL partnerships, and heavy lifting tasks requiring mechanical knowledge. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities. Utilize forklift operation skills for materials handling and inventory movement while adhering to safety standards. Monitor inventory control procedures to prevent stock discrepancies and optimize storage space. Assist in the training and development of team members on warehouse procedures, WMS systems like AS400, and best practices for materials handling. Support shipping & receiving operations by coordinating schedules and verifying shipment accuracy. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong background in inventory management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling. Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Experience operating forklifts and RF scanners safely in a busy warehouse setting. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards under OSHA guidelines. Knowledge of lean management techniques, process improvement strategies, and logistics operations including 3PL services. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus. Prior experience with shipping & receiving processes in an e-commerce or large-scale distribution center is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
