Job Description
Work Location Geyserville Position Purpose
Under minimal supervision, this position oversees daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of materials and products. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, optimizing workflows, managing inventory accuracy, and leveraging the Warehouse Management System (EWM) to drive operational efficiency. This position also supports and leads warehouse-related projects focused on process improvement, layout optimization, technology enhancements, and overall operational performance.
Functional Responsibility Assigns daily tasks and monitors the output of the team to meet production requirements
Leads in a constructive manner by example; demonstrates and encourages a strong work ethic and fosters an environment of trust and respect
Guides team in the proper use of assets and resources to avoid waste and ensure cost-effective operations
Provides immediate feedback and directly assists team to maintain level of productivity and deliver daily results
Informs supervisor of staffing needs
Ensures employees have a safe, healthy, and rewarding work environment; provides applicable safety training and resolves/reports safety issues to management
Supports change initiatives and company decisions in an effective manner
Communicates closely with supervisor regarding employee issues, concerns, and complaints in an objective and confidential manner
Maintains company and regulatory compliance during day-day-operations and advises supervisor of any infractions; assigns and monitors employee breaks and lunches and provides backup relief
Adheres to departmental GPS (Performance Management) guidelines and ensures proper GPS documentation; trains employees to do the job; identifies and makes suggestions for training needs and development opportunities Essential Duties Supervise daily warehouse functions including receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and inventory control
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards
Supports and helps maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts
Utilize SAP EWM to manage inventory, track workflows, and ensure data accuracy
Train and support warehouse staff in using WMS tools, scanning devices, and related technology
Lead or support warehouse projects, such as layout optimization, new equipment implementation, or system upgrades
Serves as the primary back up to all Dispatch responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, logistics, IS, and customer service
Support DTC fulfillment by shipping site specific orders in addition to forecasting and ordering wine for offsite fulfillment
Prepare and present operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to management as requested
Manages company culture and holds self, peers, and direct reports accountable for demonstrating a constructive company culture and leads by example
Coaches, guides, and develops direct reports; fully engages in the GPS (Performance Management) process; provides high-quality feedback, and ensures proper GPS documentation of employee performance, recognition, and deficiencies
Conducts quarterly team member 1:1 meetings. Is an active participant in new hire selection and development; identifies employee training needs and provides recommendations for performance gap closure
Participates in investigating inventory discrepancies and communicates findings to team
Responsible for data input and performance reporting
Checks outbound shipments for accuracy
Maintains pallet and all consumables inventory
Monitors general maintenance of facility. Assigns and participates in general upkeep of facility
Participates in year-end cycle counts

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. Forklift certified
5 years' experience in distribution, warehousing, order fulfillment, operations, and inventory with 1-2 years of supervisory experience are a must Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated effective leadership in a team environment, high level of self-initiative, effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to work ANY shift and proficient with Word, Excel, and SAP. Able to analyze and communicate daily productivity requirement along with providing hands-on commitment/training. Solve problems, implement countermeasures, provide customer service, and the ability to prioritize. Continuous Improvement - Ability to work in a Lean CI team culture

This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $26.78 to $41.86. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
