Up to $2,000 in accommodations may be available for qualified candidates who have a commute greater than 45 minutes The Role Go Green is building a new internal Operations Hub to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. We are assembling a small Functional Systems Lead team for an intensive four-week implementation period in November. This is not a traditional software development role. Before the team begins, our Senior Systems Engineer will have designed the UI, architecture, integrations, and requirements and built the initial V1 application. Your responsibility as the Warehouse Transfers Functional Systems Lead will be to own the real-world validation of the Transfers portion of the system. You will work closely with warehouse leadership and drivers, observe actual material movements, follow transfers from request through completion, and test whether the software accurately supports how people and material move through the facility. Our definition of "Transfer" is the movement of any pallet or turf roll from point A to point B within the warehouse, whether from bin to bin, from bin to staging, or to and from a loading dock. Every movement should be documented and auditable in the system. The software will already have been designed and initially developed. Your role is to expose it to reality. What You'll Do Learn how transfer priorities and assignments are actually determined. Work directly with warehouse leaders and drivers. Observe physical transfers throughout the facility. Test transfer queues, assignments, approvals, pickup, delivery, and completion workflows. Identify unusual situations and operational exceptions. Discover undocumented rules and workarounds. Observe whether the system creates unnecessary steps for employees. Identify situations where the UI or terminology does not match how employees think about their work. Test revised workflows as changes are released. Document supervisor feedback and findings clearly. Bring unresolved issues to the daily Systems team debrief. Own the successful implementation of the Transfers functional area. What We're Looking For We care as much about how you think and interact with people as we do about your technical background.
Strong candidates will be:
Honest, humble, and comfortable admitting when they do not know something. Teachable and willing to work within an already-defined system. Critical thinkers who notice inconsistencies and edge cases. Approachable people who communicate well with non-technical employees. Good listeners who know how to ask follow-up questions. Curious about how real operational processes work. Organized and capable of turning messy conversations into clear findings. Comfortable with technology and learning unfamiliar software quickly. Technical Background Some experience with software development, QA, automation, systems implementation or ERP systems is strongly preferred. Experience using both traditional programming methods and modern AI-assisted development tools is especially valuable. You will not be expected to architect the system or spend the month writing application code. Your primary responsibility is making sure the system works correctly in the real operation. Especially Valuable Experience We would be particularly interested in candidates with previous experience involving: Warehouses Inventory management Receiving Forklifts or material handling Logistics ERP systems Barcode/scanning systems Manufacturing Supply chain Software QA or implementation Previous non-technical work experience is considered an asset, not a detour from your career. As someone who will be intimately familiar with Go Green's manufacturing processes and methods, you will be required to sign an agreement that you will not work at a similar turf manufacturing facility for 2 years.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you organized and capable of turning messy conversations into clear findings? Are you a good listener who knows how to ask follow-up questions?
