The Wheel Group is hiring a Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations, help guide the team, and keep orders moving accurately, safely, and on time. WHAT YOU'LL TAKE THE LEAD ON
As a Warehouse Lead, you'll work alongside the team while helping keep daily operations safe, organized, accurate, and moving on schedule. Analyze incoming and outgoing orders to determine the most efficient and effective way to organize items for shipment or unload, within the Distribution Center's Standard Operating Procedures Operate forklifts and other equipment, including but not limited to: pallet jack, order picker, electric stand-up, sit-down, L.P. and reach truck with required certifications as needed Operate RF scanners to perform essential warehouse tasks related to inventory management and distribution Contribute to a culture of accountability, reporting, and inspection by communicating delivery or shipment failures, comparing equipment conditions to standards, and acting if other discrepancies arise Perform various administrative tasks, such as tracking/scheduling of shipments and providing POD as requested Coach, develop, and motivate employees to be safe and efficient Understand and enforce company policies, procedures, and systems within all areas of operation Maintain all housekeeping standards set by the Warehouse Supervisor and the organization Uphold an appropriate and legal level of confidentiality of information, as deemed by TWG Interact with peers and customers in a professional and respectful manner Provide additional support to team members as needed Assist upper management with the implementation of warehouse initiatives and projects Help upper management author warehouse processes and procedures or identify cost-saving initiatives Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to create inventory transactions, process movement requests, and maintain accurate inventory records . Perform cycle and physical inventory counts using RF scanners, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance Support daily shipping and receiving operations by confirming inventory movements, bin locations, and order completion using RF scanner Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned
HOW YOU'LL LEAD THE TEAM
The Warehouse Lead provides direct guidance and on-floor direction to warehouse associates. While not a formal supervisory role, the Lead is expected to coach, motivate, and escalate performance or behavioral concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE FLOOR HS
diploma / GED or 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred Forklift certification; OSHA 10 and/or 30 a plus Previous leadership and management experience preferred Understanding of basic Microsoft Office and other job-related applications Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Prior warehouse experience preferred Ability to stoop, bend, and lift 75 - 100 lbs Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively communicate with team members
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state, local and/or provincial standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards. Working conditions are that of a standard distribution center; employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and high noise levels. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance requirements. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 75 - 100 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday. Must be able to operate material handling equipment (MHE) including forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, order selectors, and pallet jacks in a safe and compliant manner. Ability to work in varying temperature environments including refrigerated, heated, or outdoor dock areas. Must possess the ability to communicate clearly in person and through operational systems. Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, including experience providing day-to-day direction, training, or coaching warehouse employees? Do you have hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and/or pallet jacks? Do you have hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory, receiving, picking, shipping, or inventory movement? This position is 100% onsite at our Lilburn, GA Distribution Center. Are you able to reliably commute to this location for all scheduled shifts?
