Job Description

Supervises all yard and shore-base operations supporting GOA offshore logistics, including materials handling, equipment inspection, cargo preparation, and construction laydown activities. Assists with all aspects of yard operations and executes day-to-day activities in accordance with safety standards to support efficient and timely transport of materials to offshore assets. Manages yard personnel and coordinates logistics activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including cargo verification, manifest control, and coordination with shipping and receiving personnel Supervise yard personnel (materials handlers, riggers, and labor crews) and monitor daily operations for safety and environmental compliance Coordinate cargo preparation, labeling, and manifesting for vessel and helicopter shipments to offshore locations Control inventory movements within the yard and ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of materials and equipment Oversee crane and rigging activities, ensuring safe lift planning and compliance with lifting procedures Ensure all JSAs and risk assessments are completed and properly executed for all yard activities Conduct daily walkthroughs, safety meetings, and toolbox talks with yard personnel Maintain yard housekeeping standards and ensure safe, organized work areas Perform and coordinate inventory tracking for shore-base supplies, materials awaiting shipment, and fuel systems Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment/materials and verify condition and documentation prior to shipment Evaluate trucks and loading conditions to ensure safe loading/offloading operations and direct yard traffic flow Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all cargo, including hazardous materials, in compliance with regulations Coordinate with offshore logistics, procurement, and operations teams to prioritize material movements and ensure timely delivery Manage crane and rigging gear inspections and certifications to ensure compliance with applicable standards Support additional logistics and yard operations as directed and based on operational needs

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience in yard operations, logistics, or materials handling, preferably in an offshore oil and gas environment Knowledge of cargo handling, rigging, and crane operations Strong understanding of safety practices, JSAs, and yard operations Ability to coordinate multiple activities and personnel in a dynamic environment Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting offshore logistics and shore-base operationsFamiliarity with DOT, USCG, and offshore cargo regulations Experience with inventory tracking systems and logistics coordination

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Valid TWIC card and driver's license

DOT/HAZMAT

certification

BOSIET/HUET

(or THUET) required if role includes offshore rotation Minimum one (1) year of yard foreman or supervisory experience

Technical Requirements:

Supervisory experience in a shore-base, fabrication yard, or industrial warehouse environment Knowledge of crane and rigging operations and load handling practices Familiarity with USCG cargo manifest procedures and DOT hazardous materials regulations Experience coordinating logistics for offshore operations (marine and/or aviation support) Strong leadership and crew management skills Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or vocational certification in Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field Rigging and Crane Hand certification (NCCCO or equivalent) Strong knowledge of load calculations and

ASME B30

standards SAP MM or other materials/inventory management system experience

Additional Certifications:

Advanced Fire Fighting Lifeboatman Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) First Aid / CPR Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)
