Job Description

Overview The Black Dog Tavern Company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping products efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to meet productivity goals in a fast-paced, seasonal operation. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping. Lead and train a team of warehouse associates to achieve performance goals. Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency and timely order completion. Assist with scheduling and labor planning as needed. Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards. Track inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with transportation, store managers, and operations teams to meet company goals expectations. Analyze warehouse performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience. 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience. Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations. Experience operating warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment. Extensive knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and logistics operations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and team leadership skills. Experience with process improvement methodologies like lean management is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Prior experience in distribution center operations or large-scale warehouse environments is highly desirable. Preferred Experience driving a box truck or similar. DOT certified or ability to become certified. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with potential exposure to dust and other irritants. $54,392.41 - $65,504.84 per year
