Job Description

Position Summary The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient management of customer-owned industrial electric motors ranging from .5 HP to 20,000 HP. This position coordinates all warehouse movements, maintains inventory accuracy, oversees long-term motor storage, performs routine preservation maintenance, and ensures motors are readily available for customer emergencies and repair operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and capable of working in a industrial environment where accuracy is critical. Warehouse Operations Coordinate and execute all warehouse movements of customer electric motors and related equipment. Organize warehouse storage locations to maximize efficiency and accessibility. Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and other material handling equipment. Ensure all customer equipment is properly identified, tagged, and stored. Coordinate transfers between warehouse locations and production departments. Prepare motors for shipment, delivery, and customer pickup. EMS Program Coordination Work in partnership with the
HECO EMS
Operations Manager to implement and execute HECO's Electric Motor Storage (EMS) strategy. Coordinate preservation schedules, storage practices, and inventory management for customer-owned electric motors. Ensure compliance with
HECO EMS
standards for motor storage, shaft rotations, Megger testing, and documentation. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, motor preservation practices, and customer service. Support customer warehouse audits and EMS program reviews. Inventory & Data Management Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's ERP/EMS system. Perform all required system data entry related to motor receipts, movements, storage locations, and shipments. Update customer records to ensure real-time inventory accuracy. Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory audits. Generate reports and documentation as required. Motor Preservation & Testing Perform scheduled shaft rotations on stored electric motors in accordance with preservation procedures. Conduct insulation resistance (Megger) testing on stored motors and accurately document results. Monitor storage conditions and identify any issues that could affect motor reliability. Report abnormal testing results or equipment concerns to the EMS Manager. Warehouse Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Ensure storage areas comply with company safety standards and housekeeping expectations. Assist with preventive maintenance of warehouse equipment. Maintain proper storage of rigging, lifting devices, and material handling equipment. Emergency Customer Support Coordinate and execute emergency motor deliveries and pickups outside of normal schedules when required. Assist in expediting critical customer support to minimize customer downtime. Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and internal departments during emergency situations. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required. Experience 3+ years of warehouse or industrial material handling experience preferred. Chauffeur license required. Ability to obtain DOT physical card. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred. Industrial manufacturing or electric motor repair experience is highly desirable. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work throughout an industrial warehouse environment. Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment. Comfortable working around heavy industrial machinery and equipment. Compensation Starting Pay:
$22.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications. Opportunity for wage increases based on performance, skill development, and tenure. Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs.
