This yard is still building. Until volume justifies a full crew, the Yard Supervisor owns the operation, not just a slice of it. You will run the lot day to day with a high degree of independence. Receiving, inventory, condition, loading, safety, supplies, basic maintenance, and customer issues all sit with you until the facility is big enough to staff around you. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager. What you will do Own the yard. Set the day's work and do the work. Receiving, inventory, loading, fence and facility condition, supplies, and basic fleet and equipment upkeep, including mechanical issues on vehicles in the lot. Complete vehicle inspections on an iPad. Condition, photos, and notes have to be accurate and done to NPA standard. Move motorcycles with proficiency. You will ride, walk, load, and stage bikes safely as a regular part of the job. Be the standard. NPA process, quality, and service expectations have to show up on the ground even when you are the only person on the lot. Protect the operation. Security and loss prevention, safety and company policy, and alarm calls when needed. Build toward a crew. Train and direct people as they are added, and be ready to supervise work you have already been doing yourself. Travel as needed. What we are looking for Must be able to handle a motorcycle with proficiency, including starting, riding, maneuvering, and loading bikes safely in a yard Comfortable completing vehicle inspections on an iPad, including condition notes and photos At least 1 year supervising people, or equivalent experience running a crew or a small operation in a yard, warehouse, dealership, auction, or similar setting Comfort working alone and making the call when no one else is on site High school diploma; some college is a plus Comfort with basic automotive or powersports mechanical issues Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office Clear written and spoken English, plus the judgment to handle conflict and customer issues calmly A valid driver's license and the ability to tell colors apart for inventory and condition work Comfortable in a fast-paced lot and with overtime when the schedule requires it Helpful, not required Bilingual Inventory, purchasing, or basic expense tracking experience Auction, powersports, or vehicle reconditioning background Experience opening or standing up a location Why this role This is not a clipboard job on a fully staffed lot.
