Linden, NJ Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $70,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications General freight transportation Customer communication Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation Ocean freight High school diploma or GED Office experience Full Job Description Summary The IPI Coordinator is responsible for liaising between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. Roles and Responsibilities Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Negotiates exportation rates along domestic LTL freight rates. Liaison between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided Accurately track and trace cargo Maintain excellent relationships with multiple freight forwarders Maintain standard operating procedures and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor. Tracking of freight and processing invoices whilst providing excellent customer service Process data through the Company system and submit shipping information to various government agencies as required Check shipments in the Warehouse as needed to ensure that the documents correspond Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure and delivery of freight Ensure shipments of hazardous materials are checked and processed in accordance with all applicable regulations under the International Ocean Transport Association and Code of Federal Regulations. Timely preparation of all required documentation (Letter of credit, Ocean Bill of Lading, Service Report Log, etc.,) for export functions Follow-up with tracking and tracing to final destination Close shipments and filing Qualifications and Education Requirements High School or GED equivalent Bachelor's Degree is encouraged but not required Minimum of 2+ years' experience in an office environment 2+ years in LTL Trucking position 2+ years in the Logistics or Shipping Industry Global Supply Chain knowledge helpful Preferred Skills Ability to communicate and provide great customer service Being able to work independently and part of a team Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset Excellent organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to multi-task and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks
