Sunstates Security is hiring Shift Supervisors in the Newark, NJ area. All days and shifts are available! These positions offer a pay rate of $21/hr, with weekly pay. Job Requirements Shift Supervisor - Job Responsibilities Supervise and support security officers assigned to the site to ensure all posts are properly staffed and operating efficiently. Ensure all guards follow site procedures including truck check-in/check-out, yard checks, and trailer verification. Conduct routine patrols of the yard, warehouse areas, and gate operations to maintain a safe and secure environment. Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic and verify load information, trailer numbers, and driver identification when required. Train new security officers on site procedures, post orders, and security systems such as yard management platforms. Maintain accurate reports including incident reports and daily activity reports. Ensure all required logs are completed correctly and submitted on time. Address performance issues and provide coaching, retraining, or corrective action when necessary. Serve as the main point of contact between security staff, site management, and company leadership. Respond to incidents, emergencies, or security concerns and ensure proper documentation and escalation when necessary.

• Conduct shift briefings to communicate important updates, safety concerns, and operational changes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and client site rules. Maintain a strong security presence and lead by example to ensure professionalism and accountability across the team. Additional Preferred Qualifications Prior supervisory experience in security, logistics, or warehouse environments Strong report writing and communication skills Comfortable using computers and security management systems A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
