Warehouse / Facility-Based About the Role Sarcona is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Warehouse Safety & Compliance Coordinator to support facility safety, regulatory compliance, and supply chain security programs. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements while promoting a safe, secure, and audit-ready warehouse environment. The successful candidate will support OSHA program management, Safe Task Analysis (STA), incident reporting, employee training, and Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) security standards for high-value cargo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities OSHA Compliance & Program Management:

Maintain, update, and support OSHA-required safety programs, including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, hazard reporting, and Emergency Action Plans. Conduct routine facility inspections to identify potential hazards and support corrective action.

Safe Task Analysis:

Lead, review, and maintain Safe Task Analyses for warehouse procedures, including high-risk, non-routine, and standard operating tasks, to help reduce workplace hazards.

Operational Safety:

Support compliance with facility safety requirements related to machine guarding, powered industrial truck and forklift operations, personal protective equipment, and general warehouse safety practices.

Incident Reporting & Investigation:

Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, including Form 300 and 300A logs. Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, assist with root-cause analysis, and coordinate required notifications when applicable.

Cargo Security Compliance:

Support facility security procedures in alignment with TAPA Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and company policies designed to protect high-value freight and logistics assets.

Audit Readiness:

Maintain accurate facility logs, access control records, visitor documentation, and CCTV-related records to support internal reviews, regulatory inspections, and third-party audits..

Training & Employee Engagement:

Assist with safety briefings, OSHA compliance training, toolbox talks, and TAPA awareness sessions for warehouse employees, freight handlers, and supervisors. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred. OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification required, or OSHA 10-Hour certification with the ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour certification within six months of hire. Working knowledge of OSHA standards, risk assessment practices, warehouse equipment safety, access control procedures, physical security controls, and CCTV-related documentation. Strong communication, documentation, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work effectively with warehouse employees, supervisors, and management. Prior experience with TAPA standards, cargo security programs, or transportation/logistics compliance is strongly preferred. Work Environment This position is primarily based in a warehouse and logistics facility environment. The role may require walking the facility floor, interacting with warehouse personnel across shifts, reviewing safety conditions, and supporting operational compliance needs.
