Job Description
DSSI is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a high volume cross docking warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse team, ensuring efficient inventory management, and implementing process improvements. This role requires strong leadership skills and a keen understanding of warehouse systems and logistics. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including dispatching and inventory management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Monitor and optimize warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives. Manage fleet operations, including scheduling maintenance and ensuring timely transportation of goods. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage freight effectively. Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to enhance performance and productivity. Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives. Experience 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry. SAP Experience Strong knowledge of dispatching, inventory management, fleet management, and process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with transportation management systems and best practices in freight handling. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
