Operations Manager Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Inbound Receiving Coordinator / Warehouse Lead to oversee all incoming materials at our Arlington distribution center. This position ensures every delivery is received accurately, thoroughly inspected, properly documented, and placed in the correct warehouse location. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable leading others, and willing to work alongside the warehouse team. This is not a desk-only position. It requires strong attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and ownership of the receiving process from arrival through final put-away. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee all inbound deliveries. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading. Confirm item numbers, descriptions, quantities, finishes, colors, and project assignments. Inspect products for damage, missing items, incorrect materials, and packaging concerns. Photograph and document incoming deliveries according to company procedures. Immediately report shortages, overages, damages, and other discrepancies. Ensure materials are not entered as received until quantities and condition have been physically verified. Label, stage, and place materials in the correct warehouse or project location. Separate and clearly identify damaged, incomplete, or questionable materials. Maintain accurate records in the company's inventory and tracking systems. Communicate receiving issues promptly to Operations, Purchasing, Project Management, and Accounting. Work with vendors, drivers, and internal team members to resolve delivery discrepancies. Organize daily warehouse priorities and direct receiving-related work. Train warehouse employees on receiving procedures, documentation, and proper material handling. Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse organization. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area. Support outbound operations and other warehouse responsibilities as needed. Qualifications At least 2-3 years of warehouse receiving or inventory experience. Previous lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Experience verifying purchase orders, quantities, SKUs, and product condition. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to identify and communicate problems before materials move through the warehouse. Comfortable holding team members accountable to established procedures. Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills. Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and inventory systems. Experience with Fishbowl, Monday.com, or similar systems is a plus. Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, climb, and work throughout a warehouse environment. Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
