LEAD DRIVER / FLEET COORDINATOR

Job Description

Overview Lead CDL Class A Driver / Fleet Coordinator Battle Transport, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our growing operation. This is a full-time W-2 position for a professional driver with strong end-dump experience who is also comfortable assisting with limited lead-driver and fleet coordination responsibilities. Driving is the primary responsibility of this position. We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, organized, communicates professionally, and takes pride in helping keep equipment and daily operations running smoothly. Compensation Opportunity to earn up to $500 per quarter through the Lead Driver Performance Incentive. Responsibilities Safely operate company tractor and end-dump trailer on assigned local, regional, and interstate routes. Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.- Follow all
DOT/FMCSA
regulations, hours-of-service requirements, ELD procedures, customer-site rules, and company safety standards. Maintain and submit accurate load documentation, including bills of lading, scale tickets, delivery confirmations, and fuel receipts. Promptly communicate equipment, maintenance, safety, load, and service issues.- Assist with monitoring equipment readiness and upcoming maintenance needs.- Help coordinate approved maintenance and repair appointments. Provide limited operational support and communication to other company drivers as needed. Maintain professional working relationships with customers, brokers, vendors, contractors, quarries, and jobsite contacts . Identify potential hauling opportunities and provide information to company ownership for follow-up. Provide dependable coverage for priority loads and operational needs when legally and safely available. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical certificate. Minimum 2 years of recent commercial driving experience. End-dump experience required. Open-deck/flatbed experience is a plus but is not required. Acceptable MVR and ability to meet company insurance requirements. Working knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations, hours of service, ELDs, inspections, and load documentation. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, drivers, vendors, and company leadership. Dependable, safety-focused, organized, and able to work with limited supervision.- Must meet applicable drug/alcohol testing, employment verification, background, and company qualification requirements. Physical & Work Requirements This position requires extended periods of driving and sitting, entering and exiting tractors, performing equipment inspections, coupling and uncoupling equipment, climbing, bending, reaching, and working outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
Pay:
$1,089.00 - $1,278.00 per week Application Question(s): Ability to communicate professionally with customers, drivers, vendors, and company leadership.
