Pronto Staffing is seeking an experienced shipping and receiving lead for a busy manufacturing environment.
Job Summary
Pronto Staffing is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Lead to manage daily warehouse operations in Gainesville. In this role, you will coordinate freight, handle shipping documents, and guide team members to ensure orders go out on time.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily shipping and receiving tasks to make sure orders are processed accurately and safely
Schedule outbound shipments, compare freight rates, and pick cost-effective shipping methods
Prepare and verify bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and customer invoices
Handle data entry and inventory tasks using ERP systems like Syspro
Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and fix any problems
Direct shipping utility workers, assign daily tasks, and train staff on safety and material handling
Work closely with the production team to keep materials available when needed
Requirements
2 to 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehousing
Previous lead or leadership experience preferred
Strong knowledge of freight, carrier selection, and shipping paperwork
Forklift certification or the ability to get certified
Ability to speak and read English
Work Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs
Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Dress code requires jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots
