1st shift 7:00AM-3:30PM What You'll Be Doing As the Yard Management Supervisor, you'll help oversee the daily movement of trailers, freight, equipment, and materials across the yard, docks, warehouse, and transportation network.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and coordinating daily yard, dock, trailer, routing, scheduling, fleet, and transportation activities Coordinating with Operations, Inventory, warehouse teams, carriers, drivers, and transportation partners Planning and supporting receiving, shipping, deliveries, and trailer movements Managing yard staging, dock assignments, routing, scheduling, equipment availability, and fleet operations Maintaining accurate records related to trailers, shipments, yard locations, routing, freight rates, and transportation activity Monitoring yard congestion, trailer dwell time, dock utilization, traffic flow, inbound/outbound activity, and performance metrics Identifying operational bottlenecks and recommending improvements to increase safety, efficiency, and service performance Scheduling freight pickups and working with transportation providers to resolve routing or service issues Reviewing and reporting shipping, freight, traffic, service, and operational data Partnering with warehouse leadership to prioritize loads and align labor, trailers, docks, drivers, and equipment Investigating and communicating discrepancies involving shipments, inventory, documentation, routing, yard activity, safety, or delivery Supporting compliance with applicable local, state, and federal transportation requirements Auditing yard and transportation processes to improve workflow and operational consistency Helping ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System, document-control procedures, and transportation processes This Job Might Be an
Outstanding Fit If You:
Have a high school diploma or GED Bring at least 5 years of related yard, warehouse, transportation, logistics, or fleet experience Ideally have 5-10 years of related experience Have experience coordinating yard activity, trailers, docks, drivers, routing, or transportation operations Possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Can work independently and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities Are highly attentive to detail Have experience resolving transportation, shipment, scheduling, or operational issues Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, leadership, and customers Are comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics and warehouse environment Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email Have experience with SAP, OpenDoc, transportation databases, or similar systems Understand the importance of strong attendance, punctuality, safety, quality, and operational efficiency Work Environment This role includes a combination of office, warehouse, yard, and outdoor work .
You should be comfortable:
