We have 1 position for day shift M-F 7am-3:30pm (Scope) Ships / receives product in the fastest and most productive manner. This supervisor is considered a working supervisor with authority concerning personnel interactions and evaluations. Reports to Materials Manager. Requires attention to detail. Stays comprised of daily shipping schedule for on time delivery. Informs Materials Manager as to late deliveries prior to shipment or non-shipment of products. Familiar with shipping UPS, FedEx, DHL and International shipping. Keeps customer inventory programs such as "dock to stock" and "Kanban" type customer programs completed and documented. Supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Works directly with purchasing on receiving and delivering outplants. Manages interdepartmental delivery of materials to applicable stations or departments. Responsible for the condition of transported products to customers. Able to train team members in terms and practices as well as our computer tracking system. Responsible for the working and safety condition of transportation equipment. Responsible for the housekeeping of the work area. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to accomplish daily goals. Responsibilities include analyze performance of existing shipping and receiving systems, evaluates and recommends new or improved shipping and receiving programs
