About Us Advanced Traffic Control is a leading traffic control, pavement marking and signing contractor in the state of Iowa. We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver / General Laborer to join our team, supporting job sites with equipment transport, setup, and maintenance of traffic control devices. Position Summary This dual-role position combines truck driving responsibilities with hands-on general labor duties. The ideal candidate will safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, and assist in the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of traffic control. Key Responsibilities

• Driving Duties
• Safely operate company trucks (semi, pickup, flatbed, and/or box trucks) to transport equipment, materials, and crew to job sites
• Conduct pre
• and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Load and secure traffic control equipment (TBR, cones, barricades, signs, arrow boards, paint, message boards) for transport
• Maintain accurate driving logs and vehicle maintenance records
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating vehicles General Labor Duties
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices according to approved traffic control plans (TCPs)
• Install and remove signs, cones, drums, barricades, and delineators
• Assist in Pavement Marking Operations
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment and materials at job sites and yard
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Maintain a clean and organized yard/warehouse area
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, often near live traffic
• Follow all site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements Qualifications Required
• Valid CDL with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed instructions Preferred
• Experience in traffic control, construction, or a related field
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment upkeep Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for long periods
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in confined roadside spaces and near moving traffic
