About the
Role:
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, maintaining inventory integrity and supporting timely order fulfillment. The Warehouse Associate contributes to a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and operational procedures. This role requires collaboration with team members and other departments to optimize workflow and meet company performance standards. Ultimately, the Warehouse Associate helps drive customer satisfaction by ensuring products are handled with care and delivered on schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic math and English language reading skills to accurately process orders and inventory. Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory. Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift operator certification or experience operating warehouse machinery. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience working in a fast-paced logistics or transportation setting. Basic computer skills including data entry and use of handheld scanning devices.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments to verify contents and condition. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements. Maintain organized and clean warehouse spaces to promote safety and efficiency. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with safety guidelines. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management for resolution. Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Warehouse Associate utilizes physical stamina and attention to detail daily to handle goods safely and maintain accurate inventory records. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and reporting issues to supervisors effectively. Problem-solving abilities help in identifying and resolving discrepancies or operational challenges promptly. Familiarity with warehouse technology, such as scanning devices and inventory software, enhances efficiency and accuracy in order processing. Additionally, adherence to safety protocols ensures a secure work environment for all employees.
