Keymark - NY has openings on the Day and Night Shifts with a rotating schedule for Material Handler teams! 12-hour shifts for Day and Night shift with rotating scheduling. Day and Night Shift:
Personnel scheduling is on a rotating schedule, which includes every other weekend. The base schedule is 36 hours and 48 hours the following week; this will alternate. The above description is subject to change, modification, amendment, or deletion of policy/procedure per management's discretion.
Scope of Work:
As a Material Handler in the Manufacturing Extrusion Production Line and Warehouse, your scope of work and responsibilities include: Operating machinery such as forklifts to transport Aluminum logs to various process stations. You will operate a 36 " Log Saw to crop Aluminum logs to a specific length, and label logs for inventory purposes. You will complete production documentation. Perform physical labor, lifting up to 50lbs. Keep the work area clean and organized by performing housekeeping tasks. Ability to stand and work a 12-hour shift. Perform stationary and mobile equipment inspections.
Responsibilities:
Operate industrial log saw. Cut logs to specified lengths. Perform QC inspections of all logs during sawing operation. Label logs with pertinent inventory identification and complete production documentation. Operate forklift with clamp attachment to Transport logs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Maintain complete focus, attention to detail, and ability to follow instruction to ensure a safe, accident-free work environment. Demonstrate teamwork by offering assistance to fellow team members when necessary. Demonstrate good work ethic, excellent attendance, and punctuality while maintaining a positive cooperative attitude.
Utilize PPE:
Hard hat and face shield, hearing protection, steel-toed boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, FR garments, and Hot Mill gloves.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic arithmetic and literacy competence. Ability to work in a team environment or alone. Flexibility in scheduled shifts, overtime, break, and lunch times. Stationary/mobile equipment operation and manufacturing experience.
