Position Description:
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of materials throughout the production process. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods are properly received, issued, stored, and shipped according to company procedures. This is a 1st shift position, Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming raw materials. Verify quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders. Safely transport materials to designated storage areas. Pull and issue materials as required for production jobs. Ensure timely delivery of materials to the production floor, maintaining accurate records of all material movements. Return unused or excess materials from production back to inventory. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and recorded in inventory systems. Package, label, and prepare finished goods for outgoing shipments. Coordinate with shipping personnel to ensure orders are complete, accurately documented, and shipped on time. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, including inventory counts, warehouse organization, and supporting other departments as required, including cross training in Shipping/Receiving.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing environment a plus Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer skills for inventory tracking Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude Moderate to advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications
Requirements:
Stand continuously
  • 8-10 hours daily Lift occasionally
  • up to 50 lbs. Walk frequently
  • 4-8 hours daily Push/Pull, Reach above, bend/stoop, fine manipulation
