ASAP Looking for a reliable and active team player? Join a leading manufacturing team as a Material Handler in Walton Hills, OH, and help keep production moving smoothly every day. As a Material Handler, you'll play a vital role in supporting the extrusion production line by ensuring materials and finished products are handled safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with the production, shipping, and receiving teams to keep operations organized and on schedule. What You'll Do As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for Safely operating forklifts, tow motors, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment Loading and unloading raw materials, finished products, pallets, and supplies Moving raw materials to designated production areas according to schedules and instructions Supplying extrusion lines with the necessary raw materials, cores, and packaging materials Removing finished products from production areas and transporting them to staging or storage locations Properly identifying, labeling, and organizing raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods Assisting with receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities, and checking identification against documents Staging finished products for shipment and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks Maintaining accurate inventory locations; reporting discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management Assisting with inventory counts and overall material organization Keeping aisles, storage areas, and production zones clean and organized Handling and disposing of scrap plastic and return materials according to company procedures Inspecting pallets, packaging, and materials for damage before moving or storing Following all safety policies and proper equipment handling practices Collaborating effectively with other departments and supporting production tasks as needed Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred Forklift and tow motor experience a plus Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment Basic computer skills preferred Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Dependability and punctuality with a strong work ethic Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment Ability to read a tape measure Proficiency in basic math Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle a fast-paced work environment Flexibility to perform light machine work and multitask effectively Why Join Us in Walton Hills?
