Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Specialist to manage, organize, and categorize our large inventory of HVAC materials. This role is responsible for maintaining an efficient, accurate, and well-organized warehouse that supports our HVAC operations. The ideal candidate will ensure materials are properly received, stored, labeled, tracked, and readily available for technicians and project teams. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and process incoming HVAC materials (including equipment, parts, fittings, ductwork, refrigerants, tools, and related supplies). Organize and maintain warehouse layout for optimal space utilization, accessibility, and safety. Categorize and label a large and diverse inventory of HVAC materials using consistent naming, numbering, and storage systems. Conduct regular Minimum and Maximum checks of physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate Purchase Order, Packing List, and Invoice records. Quickly act on discrepant information, escalating to the appropriate internal and external contacts. Pick, stage, and prepare materials for job sites, service calls, and internal requests in a timely and accurate manner. Rotate stock using FIFO (or appropriate methods) and monitor expiration dates or shelf-life items where applicable. Ensure proper handling, storage, and segregation of hazardous or regulated materials in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards; enforce safety and housekeeping standards. Assist with shipping/receiving documentation and coordinate with purchasing, operations, and field teams. Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend actions. Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes, layout, and inventory accuracy. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in inventory/warehouse management a plus. 2+ years of warehouse, inventory, or materials handling experience preferred (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or construction materials experience strongly preferred). Experience organizing and categorizing large, mixed inventories. Familiarity with HVAC and Hyrdonic System materials, parts nomenclature, and common storage requirements is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of software, and basic computer systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs regularly. Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts if certified) for extended periods. Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures and noise levels. Preferred Skills . HVAC Mechanical and Hydronic systems trade knowledge is preferred for success in this role. Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA) and proper material handling. Experience implementing or improving inventory categorization, product flow, and labeling systems. Strong communication skills for coordinating with field technicians and office staff. This role is critical to keeping our HVAC operations running smoothly by ensuring the right materials are organized, accurately tracked, and available when needed.
Pay:
$19.49 - $20.45 per hour
