Etchison, SPHR, Human Resources Business Partner - Manager Position Summary The General Laborer performs essential production and sanitation tasks required for the safe and efficient manufacture of food products. This position requires consistent adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. The essential functions outlined below are fundamental to the position and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential Functions The following duties are essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these functions: Production Operations Perform repetitive manual tasks involved in food preparation, processing, and packaging Operate basic production machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures Handle raw materials, ingredients, and finished goods throughout the production process Maintain production pace to meet operational and quality standards Accurately follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Food Safety & Quality Adhere to all food safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards Monitor products for quality, defects, or contamination and take appropriate action Maintain proper labeling, handling, and storage of food products Follow allergen control and cross-contamination prevention protocols Sanitation & Safety Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas according to required schedules Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Comply with all workplace safety rules and immediately report hazards or incidents Attendance & Reliability Maintain regular and predictable attendance Work assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required by production needs Marginal (Non-Essential) Functions Assist with inventory counts or material staging Support other production areas as needed Participate in continuous improvement or cross-training initiatives Required Qualifications Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions Ability to work effectively in a team-based production environment Ability to comply with food safety and sanitation requirements Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED Prior experience in food manufacturing, production, or industrial environments Physical Demands (ADA-Compliant) The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position: Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift) Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand motions Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, and food products Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Work Environment Food production facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment Temperature-controlled environments, including hot, cold, refrigerated, or frozen areas Possible exposure to food allergens PPE required, including gloves, hair restraints, protective clothing, and safety footwear Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Sandridge Crafted Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
