Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire About the Opportunity Our client is hiring a Manufacturing Material Handler to support its manual welding department in Wellford, SC. This is a hands-on manufacturing position responsible for keeping welders supplied with the parts and materials they need while helping finished work move efficiently through production. This is a great opportunity for someone with material handling, manufacturing, warehouse, metal fabrication, or production experience who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active welding environment. What You'll Do Move raw materials, metal parts, components, and completed assemblies throughout the welding department Deliver materials and parts to welders and designated production areas Stage and organize materials according to work orders and production needs Load, unload, sort, and transfer materials safely and efficiently Remove completed parts from welding stations and move them to the next production area Maintain accurate material quantities and help prevent parts from being misplaced or mixed Inspect materials for visible damage or quality concerns before distribution Keep aisles, workstations, racks, and material-storage areas clean and organized Use carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as authorized Follow all safety procedures while working around welding equipment, machinery, and moving materials Assist the welding and production teams with additional material-handling duties as needed What We're Looking For Previous material handling, manufacturing, warehouse, fabrication, or production experience preferred Comfortable working around welding operations, metal parts, machinery, sparks, and industrial noise Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and ability to keep parts properly organized Dependable attendance and willingness to stay productive in a fast-paced environment Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with welders, supervisors, and production employees Forklift or pallet-jack experience is helpful but not necessarily required Steel-toed footwear and other required personal protective equipment must be worn Why Join?
