Job Summary Our logistics team is seeking detail-oriented Distribution Specialists (Warehouse Pickers) for our second shift team (shift differential applicable)to accurately select, pack, and prepare products for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Under general supervision, you will drive heavy material handling equipment (cherry pickers and reach trucks) up to 30 feet high while wearing a full body harness attached by a self-retracting lanyard, maneuvering items to a staging area. "Regular and Predictable" attendance is required. Submit resumes through the Indeed site Responsibilities Efficiently pick and pack orders using barcode scanning and RF scanners to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Operate heavy equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely and effectively. Manage inventory by stocking shelves, replenishing stock to maintain accurate inventory levels. Prepare shipments by labeling packages, securing loads on pallets, and verify proper packaging standards are met. Load and unload goods from trucks using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency. Follow warehouse management system (WMS) procedures for order picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory updates.
Experience/Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age Experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools is highly preferred Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and RF scanners for logistics processes. Can perform basic math calculations accurately for counts and order quantities. Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience in order fulfillment processes such as picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and quality control checks highly preferred. Ability to perform tasks involving lifting of 40 - 50lbs, manual handling tasks, and operate heavy equipment safely in a fast-paced environment. Any other task as assigned by management. To safely maneuver and retrieve items from warehouse containers and rack locations, the Distribution Specialist (Picking) role requires the frequent execution of functional body movements, including reaching, stretching, twisting, bending, pushing, and pulling, etc. Fulfilling these activities is an essential function of the position, which must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Demands Stationary/Active Work:
Continuous stationary positioning and/or navigating the warehouse during 8-10 hour shifts are required.
Lifting:
Routine lift 40-50+ lbs and handle heavier loads with assistance.
Range of Motion:
Regular squatting, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing are required; overhead reaching is rare.
Equipment Operation:
Operating heavy equipment at elevations up to 30 feet requires strong spatial orientation and depth perception.
Working Conditions Environment:
Tasks are conducted in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
Safety Requirements:
Full-body safety harnesses and tethers are mandatory when operating machinery at heights.
Schedule:
