Temp-to-Hire Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate specializing in Shipping and Receiving. This role is responsible for verifying, organizing, and keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The successful candidate will ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained while preparing items for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate shipping and receiving activities on the dock, including loading and unloading semi-trucks, UPS, and FedEx vehicles. Manage incoming and outgoing products, goods, and documentation for LTL shipments. Route materials to staging or shipping areas. Assist with valve automation and assembly as directed by the warehouse supervisor. Operate warehouse machinery and equipment, including forklifts (forklift certification a plus). Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software tools to track inventory, and communicate with internal staff, customers, carriers, and suppliers. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization. Follow all safety policies and procedures, encouraging a safe environment for all associates. Prioritize and organize workload with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of standard warehouse equipment, machines, and tools. Forklift experience required; certification preferred. Experience with material resource planning or production control, preferably with SAP. Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems. Valid driver's license.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing and walking; continual sitting. Use of hand and finger dexterity. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Continuous talking, hearing, and visual acuity for technical information and keyboard use. Occasional lifting, pushing, or carrying items up to 25 pounds. Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to outside weather and loud noise.
Work Environment:
