Overview Seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Warehouse Material Identification Specialist (Warehouseman) to support a large-scale warehouse inventory and
SAP S/4HANA
master data transformation project. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse operations, engineering, supply chain, and master data teams to accurately identify existing warehouse materials and capture critical product information required for migration into
SAP S/4HANA.
Duration:
2 Months (with potential extension based on project requirements)
Schedule:
10-hour shifts, 5 days per week (50 hours/week) Responsibilities Physically inspect warehouse inventory located on shelves, pallets, racks, and storage areas.
Identify existing materials and reconcile physical inventory with current stock records.
Capture and document visible product specifications from materials, equipment, labels, and nameplates.
Work closely with the Master Data team to collect and validate material attributes required for
SAP S/4HANA.
Identify and record:
Manufacturer nameManufacturer Part Number (MPN)Vendor/Supplier nameVendor Part NumberModel numbers, serial numbers, dimensions, ratings, and other available specificationsCoordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and remote back-office support teams to accurately identify unknown or obsolete materials.
Photograph materials, labels, and nameplates when required to support material identification.
Assist in resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and existing master data.
Support the client's
SAP S/4HANA
data cleansing and master data transformation initiative by ensuring high-quality material information.
Follow warehouse safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
Perform additional warehouse inventory and material identification tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, maintenance, utilities, or distribution environments.
Experience identifying industrial materials, spare parts, equipment, or maintenance components.
Ability to read equipment nameplates, labels, and manufacturer markings.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and mobile data collection applications.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
