Job Description

Material Handler — Job Description Position Summary The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and moving materials and products throughout the facility. This role ensures materials are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment. Move raw materials, components, and finished products to designated locations. Pick and stage materials for production or shipping. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts. Label, package, and properly store materials. Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements. Complete required paperwork, inventory transactions, and computer entries. Communicate material needs or shortages to supervisors and production personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred. Forklift certification or willingness to become certified. Ability to lift and move materials safely, including up to 50 pounds as required. Basic computer and inventory-system skills. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment This position may involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around manufacturing or warehouse equipment.
