Production Supervisor - Recycling Operations Oakland, CA starting at $120,000

Annual Salary Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Occasional OT and Saturdays as needed. Radius Recycling is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor this role oversees team leads and frontline employees responsible for production, material recovery, equipment operation, employee safety, and operational performance. Employees operate heavy equipment and other safety-sensitive equipment, making strong leadership, accountability, and safety awareness critical to success. We're looking for a supervisor who already knows how to lead industrial operations and production teams. Training will be provided on Radius processes and systems, but successful candidates should be ready to step into a leadership role from day one. What You'll Do Lead multiple production teams through frontline leads Promote and maintain a strong safety culture Supervise employees working around heavy equipment and safety-sensitive machinery Coordinate daily production and material recovery operations Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and results Partner with maintenance, environmental, safety, and operations teams to support facility performance Coach, train, and develop employees and team leads Hold employees accountable to safety, attendance, and performance expectations Support staffing, scheduling, and employee performance management activities Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and operational procedures Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and operational performance What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of manufacturing, production, recycling, waste management, or industrial operations experience 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience Experience leading employees in a production, operations, maintenance, or industrial environment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Experience in recycling, waste management, manufacturing, steel, aggregate, mining, logistics, or other heavy industrial environments Experience supervising union-represented employees Bilingual English/Spanish skills Work Environment This is an active industrial leadership role based in an outdoor recycling facility. Candidates should be comfortable working around heavy equipment, conveyors, and material processing systems while walking throughout an industrial yard and navigating uneven surfaces. The role requires working indoor/outdoors in varying weather conditions and supporting a safety-sensitive operation.
