Job Description

This position will support the City Solid Waste Division Staff in the office and other duties as assigned. This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required . Other duties may be assigned. Ordering materials for the solid waste division. Respond to Citizen complaints, gather information regarding issue and accurately convey the situation to immediate supervisors. Delivery and inventory of Recycle and Garbage Carts Entering weights and distributing daily work tickets. Assisting the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of Solid Waste with Monthly Reports. Assistant Support Staff with questions regarding Solid Waste Possession of a valid Illinois Driver's License. Experience using Windows XP and/or Windows 7 Operating Systems Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including, but not limited to Microsoft Access, Excel and Word. Knowledge of City of Bloomington Streets.

Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Ability to work indoors, outdoors and in inclement weather as needed.
