Sanitation Operator Pay:

Weekly Job Summary We are currently hiring a Sanitation Operator to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary food manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for routine and deep cleaning throughout production support areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, laboratories, warehouses, utility areas, and facility grounds. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, laboratories, warehouses, common areas, and other facility areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and operate floor-cleaning equipment. Restock PPE, restroom supplies, soap, paper products, and sanitation materials. Remove trash, debris, dust, and other waste from indoor and outdoor areas. Clean dumpsters, recycling areas, walkways, drains, smoking areas, and facility grounds. Perform routine environmental, utility, and facility checks. Monitor chemical levels, pumps, tanks, and sanitation areas and report leaks or concerns. Maintain the chemical storage area, including proper labeling, organization, inventory, and spill-kit checks. Organize recyclable drums and totes and monitor dumpsters and roll-offs for overfill. Complete sanitation logs, inspection sheets, inventory records, and required documentation accurately. Follow all GMPs, SOPs, food safety requirements, PPE requirements, chemical-handling procedures, and company safety policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous sanitation or cleaning experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED. Must be mechanically inclined. Ability to operate or learn to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, mops, and other sanitation tools. Ability to read and understand procedures and safety information in English. Forklift certification is preferred, or must be willing to obtain certification. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds . Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and squatting. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and access indoor and outdoor areas. Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions. Ability to wear required PPE and safely handle approved cleaning and facility chemicals.
