Sanitation Worker Job Summary:

The Sanitation Laborer will perform the necessary manual work involved in loading garbage and refuse from rear yards and curbs into trucks.

Examples of work:

Lifts and empties refuse cans/containers to truck on assigned routes. Collects other rubbish as required. Redeposits refuse cans. Operates mechanism at rear of truck. Unloads truck at dump site. Perform snow plowing/snow blowing duties as required. Maintain and cleans trucks. Perform other related duties as required. CDL B License with passenger endorsement you will be required to have one or obtain a valid CDL B license within six months of start date. Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written directions. Ability to perform heavy physical labor of extended periods often under adverse weather conditions. Benefits available after the first two months of employment. Annual salary will be Step I rate of $36,544.15. The Borough reserves the right to interview and/or select a candidate prior to the closing of this ad. Must be a New Jersey resident. The Borough is an EEO/ADA employer.
