SWA is searching for a Wastewater Utility Worker in Farmington, NM!

Pay:

$20.60/hr

Schedule:

Monday-Friday/7:30am-4:30pm (on-call required for emergencies)

Consideration Requirements:

Must pass a drug test, background check, and a DMV during record check! Must have a valid driver's license High school diploma or GED Mechanical repair skills required

Daily Duties:

Receiving and handling wastewater/septic effluent: Set up and unload wastewater, sludge, or effluent from septic trucks Check for obstructions, adjust valves to regulate flow, and monitor gauges and flow meters Involves manual labor, shoveling, raking, and handling waste materials Ability to lift 50 lbs. Essential job tasks may require carrying, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, manual manipulation, and the ability to work in varied weather conditions Collect septic samples for analysis, process pH samples, record data, inspect samples for prohibited material, and prepare reports for operators Follow health and safety protocols, ensure proper disposal, and maintain regulatory compliance Assist with headworks operation and cleaning, including raking bar screens checking pump operations and other station assignments Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment Daily and punctual attendance at the job site is required Interact professionally with septic haulers, contractors, and vendors; follow oral and written instructions; and maintain positive working relationships Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
