Job Description

Description Position Overview:
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role involves cleaning manufacturing and office areas, handling sanitation supplies, and supporting overall operational efficiency. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other industry standards to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment. This position offers an essential role in ensuring the cleanliness and compliance of a dairy manufacturing facility, contributing to the quality and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Cleaning and Maintenance:
o Clean and maintain the secondary facility areas and production areas. o Ensure all workspaces are clean, organized, and compliant with GMP standards. o Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
Sanitation Supply Management:
o Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and sanitation materials. o Restock and organize inventory in designated areas.
Team Support:
o Assist production, quality, sanitation, and warehouse teams as needed. o Collaborate with team members to address sanitation needs promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
o Follow all safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries and maintain a safe environment. o Adhere to FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company-specific sanitation policies.
Requirements Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
Working Conditions:
  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to: o Temperature variations, high noise levels, wet conditions, and chemical vapors. o Prolonged standing and physical activity.
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Days) and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Nights)
