Summary/Objective:
The hydro blast technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation, and high-pressure water blasting.
Responsibilities:
May include, but are not limited to, the following Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in-service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), by operational and training guidelines and safety procedures. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear. Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings. Manually clean, install, and fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks. Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area before starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-5 yrs. Related experience in an industrial plant. Valid driver's license or identification card. Ability to perform duties by training and standard operating procedures. Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions. Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses. Complete and pass a hair follicle drug screen, pre-employment physical, and all required background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience is preferred but not required. General labor experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of seeing close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be willing and capable of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling or reaching above the shoulders. Must be willing and physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be willing and capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long period of time. Must be able to make general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration. Must be able to work extended hours and rotational schedules. Must be comfortable working around pressurized systems and hydrocarbons. Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
