Job Summary:

The Seasonal Scale Clerk operates truck scales, records weights, prepares tickets and invoices, and provides customer service during busy seasonal operations. This position requires strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Weigh inbound and outbound trucks using computerized scale systems. Accurately record weights, customer information, and product details. Prepare scale tickets, and receipts. Verify load information and ensure compliance with company procedures. Answer phones and assist customers, drivers, and vendors professionally. Maintain accurate records. Process cash, credit card, or account transactions when applicable. Communicate with yard, or operations staff to coordinate traffic flow. Keep the scale house clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Follow company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service, clerical, cashier, or office experience is a plus. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office or data entry systems. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work seasonal hours, including overtime or weekends as needed.
