Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our Tractor & Mower service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from Equipment drop-off to completion. Your expertise in Equipment diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will drive efficiency and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional service experiences while effectively communicating repair needs and estimates. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Prepare detailed repair orders using estimating software, ensuring clarity on scope of work and costs. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and estimated timelines. Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair options clearly. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining proper documentation. Coordinate with parts departments and ensure timely completion of repairs to meet customer expectations. Requirements What we're looking for Proven experience as a Service Writer/Advisor (equipment, truck, or automotive) Strong mechanical understanding or the ability to quickly learn tractors and mowers Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple customers and jobs Professional phone and in-person communication skills Reliable, organized, and comfortable working some Saturdays in a shop/yard environment Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier equipment services!
