Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, providing product knowledge and recommendations Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end Upsell products and promote store specials or new merchandise to enhance customer experience and sales Conduct product demos when applicable, showcasing features and benefits to customers Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean, inviting store environment through merchandising and stocking tasks Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with cashiering and POS systems Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for engaging diverse customers effectively Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination when needed Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations is a plus Ability to perform cashiering duties efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards Familiarity with retail sales techniques such as upselling and product demos enhances performance in this role

Pay:

$9.00 - $12.00 per hour
