Role:

As our Hot Shop Instructor, you'll be at the heart of arguably the most popular aspect of our business. You'll get the opportunity to work with people in our community that are eager to learn about the art and craft of glass, and teach them how to create beautiful pieces while creating even more beautiful memories. Do:

Welcome class students with genuine enthusiasm Successfully introduce students to the art of glassblowing and guide them through creating their chosen solid or blown items while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere Keep tools and supplies organized and our hot shop clean and welcoming Unload, pack, and organize class items from annealers for students to pick up Teach groups for private and corporate events as needed Occasionally help with quality-checking, tagging, and organizing inventory

You have strong people skills and enjoy interacting with all different kinds of folks You're a self-starter who loves staying busy and finding tasks that need doing You're great at balancing multiple responsibilities while staying organized You have a strong eye for detail and pride in doing things the right way You enjoy working with a diverse public and making every visitor feel welcome You're comfortable on your feet, can lift up to 25 lbs, and don't mind climbing a ladder now and then

Must-Have Skills:

2+ year of glassblowing experience Love for art, craft, and handmade goods Punctual, reliable, and ready to contribute positively to a small team Able to work on-site in Lakewood, CO Bonus Skills (but not required): Prior experience teaching in private and group settings

Pay and Benefits:

Schedule Options:

We're currently hiring for our Saturday shift (8:00am-4:00pm, with occasional later hours on First Fridays or for special events).
