Job Description
To produce accurate and timely print and online documentation that will assist Product Support Technicians and customers with the ordering of replacement parts and the troubleshooting of products
Perform document content research and multi-task with Technical Illustrators, Engineers, Product Management and Technical Service
Compile and maintain electronic and mechanical information for use in Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs), trouble-shooting guides, and any other documentation that is necessary for the technical and operational support of our products and component parts
Assist in creating order forms using Adobe InDesign
Create exploded-view technical illustrations and illustrated parts breakdowns from engineering drawings, CAD models, physical products, photographs, and other source material
Develop and maintain corresponding parts lists, callouts, item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and assembly relationships
Interpret engineering BOMs and translate engineering data into service- and customer-facing parts documentation
Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to create or revise Order Forms and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs) in Agile Project Management
Participate in Bill of Materials (BOMs) verification breakdowns
Collaborate with Engineers, Product Management, Technical Service, and Manufacturing Engineering as needed
Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

Identify mechanical and electrical parts, and hardware Must have:

Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent web navigation skills
Basic mathematical skills
Excellent organizational skills
Basic working knowledge of Adobe Desktop Publishing Software preferred
Basic understanding of electro-mechanical schematics preferred
Basic familiarity with SolidWorks 3D geometry renderings preferred
At least 1 year of experience in technical writing, Graphic Design, or Desktop Publishing, OR
At least 6 months of experience with 3D CAD visualization, or CAD-derived illustration tools, OR
At least 6 months of experience interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings, and 3D CAD models, OR
In lieu of experience, an associate degree or higher in a field related to Graphic Design, Technical Writing, or Engineering Design
At least 3 years of experience in technical writing or a technical service role experience preferred
At least 1 year of Graphic Design or Desktop Publishing and Layout experience preferred
Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Associate degree in Graphic Design or Technical Writing related field preferred
