We are pleased to announce an opening at The Art Cottage. The school is a fun, unique, creative space to share the happiness of art. We have classes available Monday-Saturday from 10am-8pm. We are looking for someone to cover our classes on Tuesdays from 2-8pm, Thursdays 2-8pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm. Can be open to a little flexibility with the schedule. Must have extensive knowledge and watercolor painting ability. Acrylic, oil painting and drawing ability is also a plus! Please send a portfolio to theartcottagegv@gmail.

Responsibilities:

Use the arts to foster and build healthy self-esteem for students. Engage a roomful of students of all ages and abilities. (mostly adults and teens) Create sequential lessons that are developmentally appropriate. Be flexible, assess student progress, ensure success of classroom and make any necessary adjustments (in teaching style, materials, equipment, timing, sequencing, teacher/staff involvement). Manage class roster and class tuition. Manage font desk, POS and scheduling, serve our artesian Gelato. Maintain a clean environment. Clean classroom and empty garbage from the room.

Required Skills:

Have training and/or years of experience in arts discipline or traditional arts practice. Possess artistic flexibility to deal with any situation that might arise.
