Salaried/non-exempt AV/IT Specialist
Events and Rentals Duties and Responsibilities
Support for rental events in Foundation and Museum spaces to include setup, operation, technical support, and teardown of Foundation owned audio-visual, computer, and lighting equipment.
Provide extremely limited technical support for customer provided equipment during rental events.
Support information technology for Foundation users
including but not limited to
basic hardware, software, convergence issues, and daily operation.
Maintain rental and audio-visual equipment, clean and safely store hardware, update installed software packages and remove customer provided media once the event has concluded.
Help to support Museum shows by assisting with necessary repairs including lighting and show hardware maintenance, cleaning of display audio-visual and lighting equipment and computer rooms.
Aid with daily operation of the National Infantry Museum show and audio-visual experience including startup/shut down and emergency maintenance or repairs.
Attend informational meetings and training as needed.
Assist with additional duties as assigned by IT Director. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of various audio-visual equipment types including projectors, amplifiers, microphones, mixers, and media players.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
Ability to logically solve technical problems.
Time management and accountability.
Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new things.
Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Prior experience in a similar role preferred. Must be able to lift seventy-five pounds at times. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed, most rental events are during museum nonbusiness hours.
Pay:
$40,000.00
